Advanced Open Water Diver

Learn to dive deeper and longer with the Advanced Open Water Diver course

Enhance your scuba skills with the most fun course in diving – Advanced Open Water Diver. This course builds on your foundational knowledge of scuba diving and introduces you to specialties diving certifications. This is the perfect course to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the guidance of our experienced instructors.

With this course you will develop your skills by completing five adventure dives that introduce you to:

Underwater navigation
Deeper water diving (typically anywhere from 18-30 meters/ 60-100 feet)
An introduction to three more Adventure Dives of your choice. Choose from 15 different specialties, like Digital Underwater Photography, Wreck Diving, Night Diving, Search and Recovery and more!

Equipment

Beyond using basic scuba equipment, you’ll need a compass and dive knife or dive tool. You’ll also use specialized gear depending on the Adventure Dives you do. Your PADI Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as dive light for night diving or lift bag for search and recovery diving.

Physiological effects of deeper scuba diving.
More ways to use your underwater compass

To take this course, you must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) and 15 years old (12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
