 Are you looking to find your best value where you should learn to dive?
Here are some helpful hints of what you should be looking for:
- Though the bottom line
($$$) is important, consider what you are getting for your money.
- The experience of the
instructor staff and the qualifications they hold.
- Is the certifying agency
PADI (the world's largest and most recognized) or some other?
- Does the store have it's
own pool available at any time. Some stores don't. They have to use a
public pool and only at specific (not so convenient) times?
- Can you use the stores
pool and diving equipment at no extra charge for practice both during
and after your certification?
- How long has the store
been in business (will they be around for a while)?
- Now cost - What will
everything cost to get certified, books, required equipment, rental
gear, and other costs (staying in Monterey, and travel)?
